Opportunities at Umber include immersive training, hands-on field experience, curriculum testing, housing and portfolio development alongside experienced professionals.

Hospitality & Guest Services

 

Concierge I
Support daily guest operations including breakfast service, laundry, and turndown. Assist with group sessions or classes as needed.

Concierge II
Provide elevated concierge support for high-level guests. Mentor and train entry-level concierges.

 

 

Arts, Movement & Culinary Instruction

 

Arts, Yoga & Fitness Instructor
Facilitate movement, arts, and fitness sessions during retreats and on a regular schedule. Offer private instruction upon request.

Chef, Cooking & Kitchen Instructor
Develop and execute healthy, culturally grounded meals. Lead group and private cooking classes and demonstrations.

Gardening & Permaculture Volunteers & Experts
Teach sustainable gardening practices, permaculture design, and self-sufficient food-growing systems.

 

 

Wellness & Healing Practitioners

 

Massage Therapist
Provide therapeutic massage services to support relaxation and recovery, and train assistant Therapists.

Acupuncturist
Offer acupuncture sessions aligned with holistic and integrative care models and  train assistant Acupuncturists.

 

 

Clinical & Support Services

 

Clinical Staff
(LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Nurse, Psychologist, Psychiatric NP/MD)
Provide intake, assessment, crisis response, and clinical support as needed.

Dietitian
Conduct 29-day wellness check-ins and review residential menus.

Support Staff
Cooks, maintenance personnel, administrative staff, case managers, wellness and fitness instructors, and class facilitators.

 

 

Education & Lead Instructor Roles

 

Lead Culinary & Pastry Arts Instructor (Level III/IV)
Required: Associate’s degree or CCC-level chef experience; minimum 3 years as a sous chef or higher; supervisory kitchen experience.

Lead Yoga Teacher Instructor
Required: E-RYT 500 credential.

Lead Beautician Instructor
Required: Aesthetician or Cosmetology license and successful completion of a state instructor licensing exam.
